DPIC: Department of Paranormal Investigation & Containment

DPIC is an Ultralite TTRPG by The Rolled Standard, inspired by our time with Monster of the Week and the Fate Core System with some ideas peppered in from various games such as Mörk Borg and some homebrew rules that we enjoy using. 

The Department of Paranormal Investigation & Containment, or DPIC, is a covert agency tasked with the hunting and capturing (or elimination) of the paranormal creatures and objects that inhabit and invade our world to protect the people of this world and keep them separate and safe.

This is our submission to Disaster Tourism's Utralite Game Jam and the first actual game system (and non-Mörk Borg project) we have created, so be gentle. Or don't. We can take it.

Dig into the history of the DPIC on our TTRPG Actual Play podcast, The Rolled Standard, with the creation of the DPIC in our Fate Core System Session Zero episode, Creating the Team, which then continues through our Fate Core arc Of Monsters & Men, and our Monster of the Week campaign (which includes the arcs Dream Away the Time, Jeepers Creepers, and Knocking on Death's Door). We expanded the DPIC universe (which we call The Rolled Universe) with a subdivision of the DPIC in our Apocalypse Keys arc, Weep Your Hands Clean, and even gave some insight into the origins of the Department in our One Year Anniversary Call of Cthulhu Western One-Shot, Sundown Over White Hills. And then there was that time we sent DPIC Agent, Jon Seena, to 1865 Sweden in our Vaesen Holiday arc, Season of the Black Goat. We're sure these won't be the only DPIC stories we tell. And now you can tell your own DPIC stories. If you do, we'd love to hear them.
